Alientech Powergate 4 Instructions
In your box you will find the Powergate 4, and an OBD2 plug
You will need a smartphone (apple, android, or huawei) with bluetooth and wifi
YOU MUST HAVE A SOLID INTERNET CONNECTION AND BLUETOOTH TO USE THE POWERGATE 4!
SHOP OWNERS PLEASE HAVE YOUR CUSTOMERS REGISTER THE POWERGATE TO THEMSELVES.
1. Download Powergate App
2. Register Powergate App
If you don’t have an account, create your account.
Input user information.
A verification code will be sent to your email.
Enter the verification code.
Set login password.
Complete account information.
If you have an Alientech account, log in with your existing account.
3. Read ID
Run Powergate App
Login with Alientech ID
Connect Powergate4 box with vehicle via OBD socket
Blue indicator turns on means Bluetooth connection is established.
Once device communicates with the vehicle, you will see a yellow indicator turns on. Device is ready to use.
Select vehicle brand, type (diesel), model and engine to continue. PLEASE NOTE THE VEHICLE CHOICES ARE “FROM” THE YEAR SO IF YOU DO NOT SEE THE YEAR OF YOUR VEHICLE CHOOSE THE OLDER VERSION CLOSEST TO YOURS.
Select ECU type
Read ID
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU PUT A CHARGER ON THE CAR BEFORE YOU BEGIN THE READ AND WRITE PROCESS. THIS PROCESS TAKES A LOT OF POWER AND IF THE BATTERY’S VOLTAGE DROPS TOO LOW WHILE YOU ARE READING OR WRITING A TUNE THE ECU CAN BE DAMAGED
Turn the ignition on, check the connections and press OK to continue.
Turn ignition off.
4. Read ECU
Turn the ignition on, check the connections and press OK to continue
Reading ECU
The red indicator on powergate will flash
Turn ignition off
Sending file to Master
5. Write ECU with Powergate
If there is a modified file present then Select “Write ECU”
IF THERE IS NO MODIFIED FILE PRESENT PLEASE EMAIL DIESELDNATUNING@GMAIL.COM WITH THE SERIAL NUMBER FROM THE BACK OF THE POWERGATE AND YOUR ORDER NUMBER.
Turn the ignition on, check the connections and press OK to continue.
Turn ignition off.
Writing ECU
Wait until completed.
Once complete the app will take you back to the ID screen, you can press exit and unplug the Powergate 4 tuner from the OBDII port
